Summary
One in a series of closed-circuit broadcasts used to inform CBS affiliate stations of internal changes. This program opens with Fred Friendly, who reports with sadness the departure of Edward R. Murrow from CBS and the news program "CBS Reports" to become head of the United States Information Services Department. Friendly then introduces Murrow, who is in Washington. Murrow emphasizes the strong crew left behind at "CBS Reports," including Walter Cronkite, and reports that a part of his heart "will stay with CBS." He ends by thanking his colleagues and superiors for their friendship and the affiliates for carrying "CBS Reports."
