Summary
One in this series of musical/comedy programs that satirizes U.S. politics. This program, recorded live at Chelsea's Cabaret in Washington D.C., begins with a musical spoof of the activities of Ted Kennedy, sung to the tune by the Beach Boys, "Fun, Fun, Fun," followed by a song about resumes, sung to the tune of "Besame Mucho." Other performances include "76 Bad Loans," a song about the Savings and Loan scandal, sung to the tune of "76 Trombones"; "I Feel Petty," a song about Kitty Kelly, sung to the tune of "I Feel Pretty"; "Roll Out the Daryl," a song about Los Angeles Police Chief Daryl Gates, sung to the tune of "Roll Out the Barrel"; "Stayin' Alive," a song about the health of President George Bush, sung to the tune of the same name from the "Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack. The program also features a word-play segment, during which a commentator switches around the first letters of certain words.
