Summary

One in this series of comedy programs hosted by Allen Funt and Durward Kirby, in which a hidden -- hence "candid" -- camera films practical jokes played on unsuspecting people. In this program, a military drill team changes its marching patterns without informing one of the members; and several children tell their own versions of the fable "The Tortoise and the Hare." Includes commercials.

(Network affiliation varies. "Candid Camera" was telecast on ABC in 1948 as "Candid Microphone"; on NBC in 1949; on CBS from 1949 to 1950; on ABC from 1951 to 1952; on NBC in 1953; and on CBS from 1960 to 1967. The series later was syndicated.)
