One in this gothic daytime serial about the Collins family of Collinsport, Maine. In the wake of a seance gone awry, Victoria Winters has awoken in the year 1795, a time where each of the Collins ancestors resembles a present-day member of the Collins family, though the names and relationships have changed. In this episode, Ben follows Barnabas's instructions to make two coffins, but protests when finding out that the second box is for Josette. Ben tells Barnabas that Josette wouldn't want to be with him if she knew he was a vampire and intended the same fate for her. Ben vows to stop Barnabas's plan, but Angelique prevents him. She assures that she won't let Barnabas and Josette be together in death, just as she prevented their marriage. Countess Natalie du Pres tries to keep Josette at Collinwood, having read the book of prophecy that had correctly foretold Sarah's death and predicted Josette's. Angelique lures Josette to Widows' Hill, where she shows Josette a vision of what she'll look like after Barnabas turns her into one of the undead. When Barnabas hears Josette's screams and tries to save her, she jumps from the cliff onto the rocks below. Commercials deleted.
