ROUTE 66: WELCOME TO THE WEDDING (TV)

Summary

One in this series of dramas about the adventures of two young men who travel across the country in a Corvette. In this episode, Tod gets mixed up with a convict who is being transferred between prisons. Tod is on his way to a wedding as the the maid of honor's escort, but the maid is three hours late. While Tod waits for his date's train to arrive, Buz sets out to stall the wedding. Meanwhile, a convict, Justin, and his guard are waiting for a train as well. Justin asks to contact his brother, but he is not allowed to make any calls. The guard feels bad for the prisoner, who says he has not seen his brother in 17 years, so he recruits Tod to find the sibling and bring him to the station. The man who arrives, however, is not Justin's brother, but a thug Justin has hired to help him bust out of custody. When the man is shot during the break-out attempt, Justin forces Tod to help him complete his escape. Includes commercials.
