MEDICINE MAN {UNAIRED PILOT} (TV)

Summary

Unaired filmed comedy pilot. Ernie Kovacs stars as Doc, a traveling medicine man, and Buster Keaton portrays Junior, his Indian assistant. Doc promises to buy a pony for his nephew and ward, Chris. Doc and the rest of the townsfolk are forced to conduct business with three crooks for worthless confederate money and to give them change in real dollars. Doc devises a scheme to trick the crooks into thinking their confederate money is suddenly of value, but they find out the truth just before Junior is about to get the money back. The townspeople defend Doc against the crooks, and he and his romantic interest, stagecoach owner Maggie, buy Chris the pony.
