DR. KILDARE: FATHERS AND DAUGHTERS (TV)

Summary

One in this series of medical dramas. In this first episode of four in a storyline about the relationship between a young nun and her father, Sister Benjamin, a medical missionary nun, returns from her field work after her self-diagnosis reveals an advanced case of leukemia. Reverend Mother Caritas is concerned for her gifted colleague and brings her to her old friend Dr. Gillespie for treatment. Unfortunately, tests reveal that the illness is terminal. The young nun has a positive attitude about her condition and takes great pains to conceal the true nature of her illness from her father, a warm-hearted drifter and pool shark. As the episode concludes, father and daughter discover that each is hiding a medical secret from the other. Commercials deleted.
