Summary
One in this series of comedy/variety programs hosted by Jack Paar. Paar opens this program with a monologue in which he comments on the following topics while attempting to discern why certain incidents occur: where he will spend eternity; the fact that people do not dance together anymore; the cost of children's shoes; his experiences with taxi cabs and elevators; weather girls; people who dial wrong numbers; car advertisements; forgetting people's names; and what happens when he gets distracted before the show. Other highlights of the program include: comedy team Mike Nichols and Elaine May perform a skit about a man attempting to get assistance from Bell Telephone information; Liberace plays a Chopin medley and "Hello Dolly," which he also sings; Jack Paar talks to Liberace about his fashion sense and Chopin's girlfriend who dresssed in men's clothing; Zsa Zsa Gabor talks with Paar and Liberace about her daughter, her visit to England, her jewelry, her view of marriage, and the penicillin injections she received in her fanny; Liberace and Zsa Zsa perform a duet of "Night and Day"; and physical comedy performer Dickie Henderson, whom Paar refers to as the "English Dick Van Dyke," performs a routine about how different types of people handle stairs.
