Summary

One in this series of daily programs featuring adaptations of stories from True Story magazine. This program features the annual, live Christmas presentation of "The Ragged Cloak," a story about the birth of Jesus told from the point of view of Darius, a deformed boy who cares for the animals at the inn in Bethlehem. Because of Darius' generosity in offering his stable and cloak to Mary, who is about to give birth, his deformity is cured. Heard throughout the program are quotes from the Bible and traditional Christmas carols, including "Joy to the World," "O Little Town of Bethlehem," and "O Come, All Ye Faithful." No commercials.
