HERE'S LUCY: LUCY AND JOHNNY CARSON (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series starring Lucille Ball as Lucy Carter, a single mother working for her brother-in-law Harry at his employment agency. In this episode, Uncle Harry invites Lucy, Craig, and Kim on a surprise evening out, his treat. Only later does Lucy find out that Harry has free tickets to a taping of a television program about the origin of money. Even worse, Harry's tickets end up being for last week's show. Determined to salvage their evening, Lucy successfully concocts a ruse to sneak into a special Hollywood taping of "The Tonight Show" starring Johnny Carson and his sidekick Ed McMahon. At the taping, Lucy participates in a segment "Stump the Band" -- which she wins, getting a free meal at the famous Brown Derby restaurant. When Lucy decides to redeem her free meal, she sees that Carson and McMahon are dining there, too. Lucy mistakenly believes that she actually won dinner with the two television stars. Not surprisingly, mayhem ensues. Commercials deleted.
