LUCY SHOW, THE: LUCY AND JOHN WAYNE (TV)

Summary

One in this comedy series starring Lucille Ball as Lucy Carmichael. In this episode, Mr. Mooney needs Lucy to take dictation and then deliver a note plus some contracts to John Wayne's film studio. However, Mr. Mooney is highly-concerned that Lucy -- a huge Wayne fan -- will bother the movie star. While lunching with her friend Mary Jane at the studio commissary, Lucy keeps her eyes peeled for a celebrity but misses Milton Berle when he walks by in costume. Coincidentally running into Wayne, Lucy proceeds to bother him for an autograph before splattering ketchup all over him. Wayne finally escapes Lucy's clutches, but there's still more trouble for Lucy to cause once she shows up on Wayne's set. As punches are thrown between Wayne and his acting colleagues, Lucy can't separate fantasy from reality. Commercials deleted.
