CAROLS OF CHRISTMAS (TV)

Summary

This televised concert special features the Springfield Symphony and the Mid-America Singers performing a number of Christmas classics. Songs performed include: "We Three Kings," "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear," "O Little Town of Bethlehem," "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing," "Silent Night," "O Come All Ye Faithful," the second suite of "The Many Moods of Christmas," including "O Sanctissima," "Joy to the World," "Away in a Manger" and "Fum Fum Fum," "Angels We Have Heard on High," "Parade of the Wooden Soldiers," "Sleigh Ride," "White Christmas" and "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer." Conductor Charles Bontrager invites the audience to sing along for certain pieces and later invites the children down to the stage to chat with a special guest, Santa Claus, who presents Bontrager with a personalized stocking. Commercials deleted.
