Summary

This musical variety Christmas celebration by the Crosby family, includes Yuletide carols and tales, and a visit by Santa Claus. Highlights include the following performances, among others: Melba Moore sings "Time Is Getting Short"; Bing Crosby sings "Do You Hear What I Hear?"; The Doodletown Pipers portray postal workers and perform "Movin' the Mail"; Crosby performs a song about children and Christmas; Bing Crosby narrates a story about "The Feast of Fools" in which Jack Wild portrays a lowly servant, who meets a beautiful princess (Mary Frances Crosby), and saves the traditions of the feast from being destroyed by two ambitious Lords (Joe Ross and Joe Besser); Jack Wild sings "The Lowest of the Low" and "Topsy Turvy Day"; Melba Moore portrays a Salvation Army worker who argues over a street corner with Bing Crosby, who is also trying to raise money for the poor; The Doodletown Pipers and Crosby's children sing "Jingle Bells"; Melba Moore, Jack Wild, and Bing and Kathryn Crosby join the Doodletown Pipers to sing a medley of Christmas songs including "Sleigh Ride," "Silver Bells," and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas"; Jack Wild sings "O Little Town of Bethlehem"; Melba Moore sings "What Child Is This?"; Kathryn Crosby and her children sing "Away in a Manger"; Bing Crosby sings "O Holy Night"; the entire cast joins in "Joy to the World"; and Bing Crosby ends the show with a rendition of his hit "White Christmas."
