DON'T TRUST THE B---- IN APARTMENT 23: DADDY'S GIRL . . . (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about Indiana native June Colburn and her adventures with her outrageous roommate Chloe in New York City. In this episode, June decides that she needs to find a new man in order to keep to her "plan" of marriage and children, though she is understandably doubtful when Chloe offers to set her up with a man named Scott. Chloe complains to James about her roommate's lack of trust in her, and James, who is preparing to teach an acting class in order to undermine his rival James Franco, urges her to "trick them" into falling for one another. June takes up biking to meet athletic men, and when she returns home to Chloe's impromptu party, she encounters Scott and finds that he is in fact perfect for her. Things quickly turn romantic between the two, but June is horrified to learn that Scott is actually Chloe's father. Chloe, unconcerned, explains that he is recently separated from her unaffectionate mother and needs someone new, but June kicks him out in disgust.
James is dismayed to find that his students are only interested in hearing about his "Dawson's Creek" days, and when Chloe convinces June to talk things through with Scott, she ends up falling for him again and beginning a happy relationship. Chloe's heartbroken mother Karen then arrives, however, explaining that she desperately wants Scott back, and when Eli points out that Chloe is merely using June as a "pawn" to work through her issues with her parents, Chloe agrees that June must dump Scott and allow her parents to reunite. James tries to make his fans see him in a new light, though they remain interested solely in precocious teen Dawson Leery, and Mark scolds him for his ungrateful attitude. June tells Scott that she is not a "homewrecker," and Chloe is forced to take drastic measures when Scott refuses to accept that his "soulmate" is dumping him. Later, Chloe convinces June to abandon her "plan" and try new adventures now that she is living in New York, though she is disturbed to learn that June has only ever been intimate with her cheating ex-fiancé Steven. James, learning that "Dawson's Creek" is only just premiering in certain countries, decides to "make the world a better place" with his fame. Includes commercials and promos.
