Summary
One in this comedy series about Indiana native June Colburn and her adventures with her outrageous roommate Chloe in New York City.
In this episode, Chloe and James excitedly prepare for the latter's appearance on "Dancing with the Stars," and the arrival of a friend's wedding invitation sends June spiraling into despair, as she had planned to attend the event with her now-ex Steven. Chloe decides to teach her new friend "how to be badass" and shows her a variety of tricks to attain attention-grabbing social confidence. However, the plan backfires when June begins to usurp her life-of-the-party role and even takes Chloe's place as James' fun-loving, tabloid-fodder gal pal.
June makes a splash at the wedding with James as her plus-one, but a jealous Chloe crashes the event with "C-list celebrity" Kevin Sorbo in tow – and June is shocked when Steven arrives after all. Their reunion is surprisingly pleasant and "New June" soon ends up kissing her ex in the coatroom. She is quickly outraged when he admits that he has a new girlfriend and is therefore cheating again; he counters that he strayed in the first place because she's simply "boring." Chloe, somewhat relieved to hear that June's new confidence has suffered a setback, assures her friend that everyone experiences insecurity, and she and James stage a dramatic dance-floor fight, loudly boasting about June's glamorous, man-stealing ways and restoring "New June's" impressive status.
