MODERN FAMILY: RASH DECISIONS (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series, a "mockumentary" about the eccentric individuals comprising three inter-related families in Los Angeles. In this episode, Jay is deeply distraught when Stella is banished to Mitch and Cam's for a week to determine if Joe is allergic to her, and Luke grows jealous as Phil bonds with his real estate protégé Andy. Alex prepares for her Princeton interview as "Laidback Mitchell" joins his sister at their father's company to do some temporary pro bono legal work and decides to abandon his usual persona of office nag. Claire gradually realizes that none of their co-workers consider her a friend, as she typically has to give orders and correct problems, and Jay tries to micromanage Cam's lighthearted bond with Stella.
Luke horns in on Andy and Phil's "mock open house," and when Alex overhears Princeton interviewer Vanessa complaining about dealing with an endless string of over-achieving nerds, she decides to plagiarize a bit from Haley's life to seem more fun and interesting. Jay is heartbroken when Joe's rash disappears, seemingly confirming that he is indeed allergic to Stella, and he bids his dog a tragic farewell as he leaves her with Cam and Mitch for good. Elsewhere, Phil assures Luke that no one could ever "replace" him as a son and pal, and Mitchell decides to save Claire, and return to his natural state, by taking over all of her bossy duties at work. When Joe's rash returns sans Stella, Gloria finally realizes that he's actually allergic to her expensive face cream, and Jay rushes off to retrieve Stella, much to Lily's relief.
