AMERICAN HORROR STORY: ROANOKE: CHAPTER 10 {SIXTH SEASON FINALE} (TV)
Summary
One in this dramatic suspense series with revolving storylines.
In this episode, the cast members of "My Roanoke Nightmare" -- as well as their real life counterparts, take part in Paleyfest 2016, answering questions from fans in the audience. Sidney states that a second season may be in the works, after which Lee agrees to hug one of the Paleyfest participants. At some point in the future, the Paleyfest participant that hugged Lee posts a YouTube video asking Lee why she took part in the "contrived" follow-up to "My Roanoke Nightmare." In a second video, Lot Polk threatens revenge on Lee, stating that she's responsible for what happened to his family.
Next, an episode of a TV show called "Crack'd" reviews Lee's life, her turbulent relationships with Flora and Mason, and her participation in "My Roanoke Nightmare." Footage also shows a district attorney saying that Lee's role in "Return to Roanoke: Three Days in Hell' confirms that she is a murderess. The D.A. recalls how he had Lee tried for Mason's death, citing how Flora testified that she saw Lee kill Mason, and his disgust when Lee was subsequently acquitted by the jury. As Flora refused to reunite with Lee after the trial, the D.A. says that no one emerged as a winner in the case.
What follows is yet another TV show, "The Lana Winters Special," featuring the return of famed reporter Lana Winters from retirement. Having scored an exclusive interview with Lee, Lana starts the interview sympathetically, and encourages Lee to speak directly to Flora in an attempt to reconcile. Lee then reveals that Flora disappeared from her residence earlier in the day, insinuating that Lee kidnapped her. As Lee denies the charge, Lot breaks into the studio, pointing a rifle at Lee. When Lana tries to reason with Lot, he knocks her out with the gun. However, before he can kill Lee, police break in and shoot him dead.
Finally, an episode of a TV show titled "Spirit Chasers" documents three paranormal reporters entering the Roanoke house during a blood moon with special guest Ashley Gilbert, one of the stars of "My Roanoke Nightmare." As they try to capture ghostly images on camera, they are shocked to be confronted by Lee, who claims to have been searching for Flora for two weeks. Lee warns them to leave the house immediately, just as the spectral voice of Priscilla is heard, and doors start to mysteriously slam shut. Within minutes, the Piggy Man emerges from a corridor and murders Ashley; spirits then snuff the life from two of the reporters. As the third reporter flees the house and runs to a nearby police car, Thomasin and her gang kill him, as well as the officers. Lee is then seen on the "Spirit Chaser" camera inside the house as she unites with Flora.
The following day, a news reporter tells how police have surrounded the house and suspect that Lee is holding Flora hostage. A recuperating Lana weighs in on the news from her bed. Inside the Roanoke house, Lee tells Flora how they can start a new life. Flora surprises her by stating the she intends to burn down the house and sacrifice herself so that she can protect Priscilla from Thomasin. Realizing that Flora won't desert Priscilla, Lee offers to take Flora's place and serve as a ghost mother to Priscilla. As Flora exits the residence and steps into a police car, the house erupts into flames. While driving away, Flora sees the spirits of Lee and Priscilla in the woods. However, she is unaware that Thomasin and her gang are marking the blood moon by descending from the hilltop onto all those below. Commercials deleted.
