NEWSCENTER 8: WELCOME BACK {ART DIRECTORS CLUB,
1978: 57TH ANNUAL EXHIBITION, REEL 5}

Summary

In this commercial for WJKW-TV, the mayor of Cleveland makes remarks at a welcoming ceremony for the new anchorman at Newscenter 8, Judd Hambrick. "Mr. Hambrick, it is with great joy that we herald your return to Cleveland," he says. "Uh, I'm sorry," replies Hambrick. "That was John Hambrick who worked in Cleveland. I'm his brother, Judd." The mayor then orders that the welcoming banners be removed and the band be sent home. The announcer adds that once you've seen him on Newscenter 8, you'll agree that "Cleveland has never seen an anchorman the likes of Judd Hambrick."
