NIKE: CARL LEWIS {THE ADVERTISING OF CHIAT/DAY:
EXAMINING THE NEW CREATIVITY: PART ONE: THE
AWARDS}

Summary

In this commercial for Nike running shoes, Olympic champion Carl Lewis is shown executing a long jump in slow motion from a ground's-eye viewpoint. He says that his first long jump was a joke and that throughout high school he kept finishing second. But he believes a person should never give up and if that is your philosophy, there's no telling how far you can go. He finishes his approach and jumps, sailing up over the camera and disappearing out of the frame into the clear blue sky.
