Summary
In this commercial for Bornhoffen bread, a man in Medieval peasant garb is shown harvesting grain in the fields and baking bread in a primitive kitchen. Everywhere he goes during his labors, amorous maidens attempt to distract him. In a voice-over, the announcer explains that the aroma and taste of Bornhoffen is unique because it is made from flaxseed, malted grain, buckwheat, and bran. As the farmer finally yields to temptation, the announcer adds that man does not live on bread alone. "With Bornhoffen," he says, "he comes close."
