BARCLAYS BANK: {THE ONE SHOW 1992}

Summary

In this commercial for Barclays Bank, two British travelers in North Africa enter a shop to buy some Bedouin rugs. While one man, played by Rowan Atkinson, bargains with the merchant in fluent Tuareg, his friend uses his BarclayCard to buy a rug and gets three years of insurance on his purchase. After paying with cash, the man who speaks Tuareg leaves the shop, but doesn't notice that his rug has been ignited by a nearby torch. As they walk off into the sunset, he observes that the smell of the Tuareg campfires is unmistakable. Slogan (supered): "BarclayCard. It does more than you'd credit."
