HALLMARK: DANCE CARD {ADVERTISING AGE: BEST
COMMERCIALS OF 1991}

Summary

In this commercial for Hallmark cards, several friends discuss their dating prospects for the school dance during a study break at the library. Tony explains that he knows who he wants to go with, but since he's too embarrassed to ask her in person, he's planning to call her on the telephone. Jerry says that he has asked a friend to ask someone for him. Finally, Danny admits that he slipped a Hallmark card into a girl's notebook as a roundabout way of asking her. The other boys think it's the funniest thing they've ever heard, but moments later, a cute girl approaches Danny, tells him that putting the card in her notebook was really "neat" -- and that she'd love to go to the dance with him. Slogan (supered): "Hallmark. When you care enough to send the very best."
