DIET PEPSI: MR. CHARLES GOES TO WASHINGTON {AICP
SHOW REEL: 1993}
Summary
In this commercial for Diet Pepsi, Ray Charles and the Uh-Huh Girls go to Washington to testify before a congressional committee. The congressmen want to know if Diet Pepsi contains a secret ingredient, giving it unfair advantage over other soft drinks. "Uh-huh!" the Girls reply. "Well, what is it?" a congressman asks. Mr. Charles proceeds to explain in a jingle that "you know it's uh-huh 'cause the taste says uh-huh, baby." His explanation apparently satisfies the congressmen. Slogan (supered and in jingle): "You got the right one, baby. Uh-huh! Diet Pepsi."
