COUNT DUCKULA: MUTINOUS PENGUINS (TV)

Summary

One in this series of animated programs featuring Count Duckula of Transylvania.

Count Duckula, Igor, and Nanny journey out onto the Arctic Ocean to find Castle Duckula, which has accidentally teleported to somewhere in the vicinity. Their ship is crewed by a gang of deranged penguins who come to believe that Duckula is actually looking for buried treasure. They tie Duckula, Igor, and Nanny to a sofa and lob them overboard onto an iceberg in order to obtain their map and claim the treasure for themselves. While on the iceberg, Nanny accidentally frees a cadre of Viking explorers frozen within the ice for over a millennium. As the iceberg melts into nothingness Duckula and the others are saved by the accidental intervention of Dr. Von Goosewing, who surfaces his submarine to catch them before they go in the water. He ejects them from the roof of his submarine and into an icy cavern, where Nanny revives the Vikings' queen.

In exchange for her freedom, the Viking queen agrees to help Duckula get back at the penguins, and they give chase in an ancient Viking longship. The penguins attack with cannon fire, and Duckula, Igor, and Nanny leap into Von Goosewing's submarine before the two ships collide with each other and sink. They soon locate Castle Duckula, partially submerged, and Von Goosewing drops them off, leaving to repair his equipment. The castle teleports back to Transylvania just as the penguins and Vikings assemble to assault the castle. Nanny points out that Count Duckula could have simply waited for the castle to return, as it automatically does, instead of venturing out onto the Arctic Ocean, making Duckula feel like a fool.
