CAPITOL CRITTERS: OF THEE I STING (TV)
Summary
One in this satirical cartoon series about the mice, rats, and roaches who live under the White House -- including Max, a Nebraska field mouse.
In this episode, Jammet takes Max on a tour of the Oval Office; when they hide from a cleaner and one of the cats, Max ends up in a briefcase left behind by Senator Harris. Berkeley sternly orders Jammet to take Muggle and find their lost friend. Elsewhere, Max is dazzled by Harris' impassioned Senate-floor speech about combating hunger. Muggle's "sewer atlas" proves misleading as Max calls Berkeley and Trixie from Harris' portable phone to assure them that he is doing well with the senator. Muggle ends up rescuing Jammet from a microwave when they accidentally end up at the Pentagon instead of the Capitol.
Max is dejected when the not-so-honorable Harris accepts a bribe and is then quickly arrested by the FBI. Jammet and Muggle encounter a pair of erudite pigeons on a window ledge. Max causes a minor panic at the police station, but the pigeons come to his rescue and escort him, along with Muggle and Jammet, back to the White House. Disillusioned by the town's many unscrupulous characters, Max decides to head back to Nebraska. However, Muggle takes him on a late-night stroll to the Lincoln Memorial, and Max reconsiders, deciding that there are at least a few "Honest Abes" in D.C. Includes commercials and promos.
