ADDAMS FAMILY, THE: JACK AND JILL AND THE BEANSTALK / A LITTLE BIT OF PUGSLEY (TV)
Summary
One in this series of cartoons about the bizarre and ghoulish members of the Addams family, whose household is presided over by the uniquely stylish and wealthy Gomez and Morticia.
In this two-part episode, a restless Fester requests a bedtime story from Wednesday, and she recruits Pugsley to help her spin a somewhat confusing yarn. It concerns squabbling siblings "Jack and Jill," who try to rent an alligator to a frustrated wolf, who gives them some magic beans in exchange for their help in devouring his nemeses, the three pigs. A beanstalk sprouts from the beans, and at the top, Jack and Jill encounter an underwear-obsessed giant and a strange exploding man – Rumpelstiltskin – whom Jack and Jill recruit to assist with their other friend, Sleeping Beauty. The giant nearly catches them, but Rumpelstiltskin brings the beanstalk crashing down, and the giant is forced to flee from the amorous, no-longer Sleeping "Beauty."
In the second segment, Wednesday observes that Pugsley is the only family member who has not yet "invented a dance." At his parents' urging, Pugsley teams up with dance expert Thing, who takes him on a wild adventure throughout the house. Eventually, the two decide to team up and create the most impressive Addams dance yet. Includes commercial and promos.
