Summary
One in this series of comedy programs about the ever-dysfunctional Bundy family.
Al is tired of having Peg continually overextend his credit cards, leaving him broke. He discovers that Buck is getting mail from mailing lists since Kelly ordered a dog collar in his name. Marcy brings a package of records that the Bundys didn't order; she states that since they didn't order it, the law states that they can keep it without paying for it. Al's attempts to apply for a new credit card are met with failure, but to his surprise Buck is issued a card from his mailing lists. Bud mistakenly believes that Marcy's statements about receiving an unordered item in the mail would apply to the credit card, meaning that they could use it without paying for it. Al and Peg believe him and they set about buying everything they can think of.
Al and Peg use their newfound "wealth" to take a vacation at a nearby hotel, ordering all manner of luxuries and amenities. The couple in the suite next to them, an old rich man named Hiram Massey and his young, attractive wife, joins them in their bath, much to Al's delight and Peg's disgust. While his parents are away, Bud takes advantage of the situation as well, spending the night with a pair of girls from school. Steve comes over and gets Bud to tell him about Al's credit card scheme. Steve laughs, knowing that Al will most likely be going to jail for his scheme.
Back at the hotel, Al gets too friendly with Mrs. Massey, irking Peg. Mr. Massey offers Al a high-paying job at his company, and Al and Peg leap at the chance. However, the hotel is informed of Al's credit card scheme. Soon all the things the Bundys bought with the card are repossessed. The credit card company decides not to press charges out of embarrassment at having issued a credit card to a dog. Al is forced to pay off the hotel services by working nights as a bellboy, much to his displeasure. Commercials deleted.
