SOUTH PARK: TERRANCE & PHILLIP IN NOT WITHOUT MY ANUS (TV)

Summary

One in this series of animated programs for adults about the town of South Park, which is populated by an oversexed school chef, a psychotic teacher, Jesus Christ, and a group of acerbic, foul-mouthed youngsters. In this episode, Cartman is finally about to learn the identity of his father…but the story focuses instead on mischievous Canadian duo Terrance and Phillip. Terrance is on trial for murder, prosecuted by their nemesis Scott, but they simply make their usual flatulence jokes and Terrance is declared not guilty, and a frustrated Scott wishes them both “head cancer.” The duo returns home for their favorite Kraft dinner, and Scott receives a call from Saddam Hussein, who offers to get rid of Terrance and Phillip if Scott will simply help him enter Canada. Ugly Bob delivers a letter for Terrance explaining that his daughter Sally is being held hostage in Iraq, and he quickly goes to the home of her mother, Celine Dion, to explain the situation. Terrance and Phillip hurry off to Tehran, sent off by a rousing chorus of “O Canada,” and Scott happily tells Saddam that they “took the bait.”

Terrance and Phillip find Sally with remarkable ease and return home to Canada, but when they arrive, they are surprised to see that Saddam has made some notable changes to the country. They visit Celine Dion again, and Terrance is horrified to learn that she is now dating Ugly Bob and is pregnant with his child. Elsewhere, Scott is alarmed at all of Saddam’s changes to the city, but he reassures him that he will soon leave. The US government sternly threatens Saddam with a mere three years to leave Canada, and he reveals his intentions to take over the country, followed by the rest of the world. Scott is further disturbed to find that Terrance and Phillip have returned from Iraq unharmed, and he calls them in the midst of their night of Kraft dinner and American television to request a meeting with them. At the same time, Saddam surprises Celine Dion and Ugly Bob and demands that Celine sing the Iranian national anthem at an upcoming football game to celebrate his takeover. Scott blames Phillip and Terrance for Saddam’s presence and orders them to kill him and his men with a suicide bomb. At the game, Saddam gets up and declares himself dictator of the country and changes out the Canadian flag, but Terrance and Phillip give everyone gas masks and take down Saddam and all his men with their preferred form of “chemical warfare.” Everyone aside from Scott celebrates, and they sing another rendition of “O Canada.” Commercials deleted.
