TWO GUYS, A GIRL, AND A PIZZA PLACE: TWO GUYS, A GIRL AND A CHRISTMAS STORY (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about roommates Berg and Pete, and their longtime friend Sharon, who lives in their Boston apartment building. Berg is upset that he has to work during Christmas. Sharon is excited because she has been chosen to plan her company's Christmas party; if it is well-received she believes she will receive a bonus, but if it doesn't she fears she will be demoted. Pete meets Kaitlin Rush, a local radio traffic reporter, at the pizza place and seems to be attracted to her almost instantly. Kaitlin is disorganized due to the loss of her personal assistant, so Pete offers to fill that position for her. At the hospital, a curmudgeonly old patient named Mr. Harrison causes no end of trouble for Berg. Pete comes back to the pizza place after shopping with Kaitlin and seems to enjoy her company, although he has learned little of the details of her personal life. She invites Pete to accompany her to a black-tie media awards ceremony and he accepts. Mr. Harrison shows up at the pizza place to further torment Berg. Sharon prepares for her Christmas party and gets the idea to book entertainment acts based on the verses of the "Twelve Days of Christmas." After the awards ceremony, Pete goes with Kaitlin to her apartment and they start to kiss. However, Kaitlin reveals that she has a ten-year old son named Michael, causing Pete some distress. Pete is unsure of what to do about the situation with Kaitlin and Michael. Later, Kaitlin arrives at the pizza place to formally introduce Michael to Pete and Berg. Berg offers to have him and Pete look after him while Kaitlin is out, much to Pete's surprise. Kaitlin agrees at Michael's request; however Pete and Berg soon learn that Michael merely didn't want to go where his mother was going, and that he doesn't like Pete. To remedy this, they take Michael sledding and he has a good time until he accidentally crashes, bruising a few of his ribs. Pete and Berg drive him to the hospital and call to tell Kaitlin, who is on the job in her traffic helicopter. She gives them advice on what to do about the heavy traffic they are encountering by instructing them to do the opposite of what she says on her traffic report. Sharon is listening as well and takes her advice at face value, stranding herself in traffic with a car full of pigeons. Later, Michael is resting at the hospital with Kaitlin at his side. Berg advises Pete to get out of his relationship with her, although Pete has other plans. Berg learns that Mr. Harrison has no family, and visits his apartment to keep him company on Christmas. They seem to be on much better terms with each other. Includes commercials.
