Summary
One in this series of comedy programs about the personal and professional life of a Chicago psychologist.
In this episode, Bob and Emiy's friend Marilyn Dietz, a recent divorcée, moves into their building and tells the couple about her happy post-marriage life, including her decision to go back to school. Howard, also divorced, stops by and immediately hits it off with Marilyn, much to Bob's surprise. At the office, Marilyn begins advising Carol to stand up to bossy Jerry — with whom she then also strikes up a flirtation.
Emily, impressed with Marilyn's "free and open" lifestyle, asks Bob if he ever misses his bachelor days. Howard begins to grow jealous of Marilyn's casual relationship with Jerry. Matters are further complicated when Jerry admits to Bob that he may be falling in love with her after one date; tensions flare when Marilyn throws an apartment-painting "party" and invites both Howard and Jerry, as well as Emily and Bob. Marilyn finally informs her two suitors that she can date more than one man at a time if she chooses; Howard and Jerry decide to pin the blame on an exasperated Bob. Later, Emily expresses her support of Marilyn's free-spirited ways — but not if she sets her sights on Bob. Commercials deleted.
