NIGHT FERRIS BUELLER DIED, THE (INTERNET)

Summary

This made-for-Internet film concerns a stalker's confrontation with his quarry on a New York City subway. As the narrative opens, a young man, Randy Mitchell, boards a subway car shortly after 1 a.m., noticing a drunken vagrant as the sole passenger. However, another man, Luke Porter, wedges the train doors open before it leaves the station. The clearly unbalanced Luke makes small talk as Randy tries to read his newspaper. Luke then tells of his admiration for his fellow traveler, who he erroneously believes is actor Matthew Broderick. As Luke becomes more aggressive, Randy is unnerved and states that he isn't the actor. Luke doesn't believe him, then tells a tale about running into actor Eli Wallach on another subway train, detailing why the encounter left him angry. When Randy tries to get off at the next stop, Luke assaults him and holds a knife to his throat. Luke admits that he's been following Randy, consistently believing that Randy is the star of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." Ultimately, a panicked Randy tries to go along with Luke's delusion, telling him what it's like to work in Hollywood. As the drunken passenger awakens, Luke attacks him with a knife. When Randy tries to stop Luke, he gets stabbed as well. Luke continues to torment Randy, telling him to ad-lib like Ferris Bueller. As another subway stop approaches, Randy makes one last attempt to escape. Luke flashes his knife again, this time killing Randy. Covered in blood, Luke slumps onto the floor of the car, with embarking passengers soon screaming over the grisly scene.
