DREW CAREY SHOW, THE: NEVER BEEN TO SPAIN (TV)
Summary
One in this series of comedies starring stand-up comedian Drew Carey as a single guy who attempts to juggle his romantic endeavors and his menial job at a Cleveland department store, while still maintaining his sense of humor. Lewis and Oswald's attempt to catch a mouse in Drew's house goes awry when they carpet the entire ground floor with mousetraps. They believe Drew is on vacation, but he is in fact home with the flu, and thus falls prey to the mousetraps. Milan is throwing a huge party in Madrid for her 19th birthday, where a number of supermodels will be in attendance. She invites Drew to the festivities as thanks for helping her learn how to run the store. Meanwhile, Lewis and Oswald get jobs as security guards at the airport, but their constant antics irks their boss, who warn them that if they make one more mistake they will be fired. Drew becomes nervous about going to Milan's party when he realizes that he doesn't know how he will talk to the assembled models. Steve and Kate recommend that he adopt a new persona and identity, since no one there will recognize him. They decide on the name "Antoine Silver." On the day of his flight Drew becomes stuck in traffic and barely makes it to the airport in time for his last boarding call. However, Lewis and Oswald cannot give him special treatment to let him pass. When Drew tries to force his way through, he is stopped by security officers and detained in a holding cell. The customs officer becomes suspicious of Drew: his bag bears the label "Antoine Silver," and she is shocked by Drew's extensive criminal record. Drew attempts to escape but fails. Later, he and Kate conspire to get back at Lewis and Oswald, beginning with a ploy involving Kate pretending to have lost an infant from a stroller in the middle of the airport. Tape ends abruptly. Includes commercials.
