Sawyer interviews Lopez about her relationship with actor Ben Affleck. She discusses their public displays of affection, her engagement to him and assessment of his character, her recollection of meeting his family in Boston, her prior history of romantic relationships and former marriages, her latest film “Maid in Manhattan” and her feelings about its sense of realism, her reputation as a “diva” and attempts to contradict this, the constant media attention surrounding her and Affleck, and Affleck’s appearance in one of her music videos. Lopez takes Sawyer on a tour of her old neighborhood, including the house where she grew up. She discusses her early attempts at singing and dancing as a teenager and her contemplation of getting married right out of high school, her avoidance of drug use, some of her favorite and least favorite outfits worn at awards shows, her numerous business ventures, her history of “bad relationships” before she was famous, her relationship with rapper Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs, and her brief marriage to dancer Cris Judd. Lopez also provides a detailed account of Affleck’s proposal to her, recounting how he brought her to his childhood home in Boston to do so. She concludes by talking about her future and her desire to have children.
There is also selections from an upcoming “Primetime: Special Edition” featuring an interview with Houston, featuring discussions about accusations of drug problems, her weight problems, her tumultuous marriage, and her father’s impending lawsuit against her. Includes commercials.
