GEORGE LOPEZ: CHRISTMAS PUNCH (TV)

Summary

One in this comedy series, set in Los Angeles, in which comedian George Lopez plays family man "George Lopez." In this episode, Ernie gets George a nice bottle of Scotch for Christmas and George has to fake that he got Ernie the same exact gift. Meanwhile, George can’t call home because Carmen and her boyfriend Jason won’t quit gabbing, or respond to "call waiting." Carmen catches Max eavesdropping on her call and is furious. Angie then punishes Max from playing video games for a week. He makes Angie promise, however, that she won't tell Santa Claus. Immediately afterward, Max listens in on George's phone call to Angie, during which George discusses having bought "Santa's" presents for Max. The boy suddenly realizes that Santa is "a big phony." Later, George and Angie eat at the restaurant where Carmen is a waitress. George gets mad at how hot and heavy Carmen and Jason's kissing becomes, even during "working hours." Then, a mad Max reveals that he now knows George is Santa. On Christmas Eve, Max tries to stay up and catch George laying out the presents, but instead George uses a ruse to convince Max that Santa is actually real. George “chases” Santa and even grabs pieces of his beard and suit, which he gives to Max. As a result, Max believes in Santa once again. After Christmas, the boys at school don’t believe Max, telling him that George "punked" him. When Max defends George, school bully Kenny gets in a fight with Max. Meanwhile, George tries to speak with Jason about his displays of public affection with Carmen. Jason admits that he doesn’t like public kissing either, and George tells him that he will help put an end to it. Max returns home and reveals what happened to him, but George refuses to reveal the truth about Santa. Max claims Kenny will keep beating him up unless he admits that Santa isn’t real. The next day, Max again refuses to say that Santa isn’t real and George -- dressed as Santa -- rushes toward them and pushes Kenny into some bushes. Later that day, George gets Jason to kiss Carmen, giving George the opportunity to yell at his daughter about such showy moments. However, the plan doesn’t quite work and Jason still isn’t free. Finally, Max comes to his father and reveals that George was the "Santa" that pushed Kenny. He tells his father to write a letter of apology to Santa for the impersonation. Finally, George thinks he sees the real Santa -- as well as one of his elves -- in the backyard. Includes commercials.
