LADIES MAN: BAD MUTHAS (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about a furniture maker who lives with a number of women, including his wife and two daughters, under one roof. Donna becomes frustrated when Mitzi refuses to obey her strict rules while babysitting Wendy and Bonnie, and the kids stay up late and receive unauthorized visitors. The next day, Donna and Jimmy are called into Wendy's principal's office; she was caught kissing another girl and claims that she got the idea from Mitzi. Donna is furious and asks Jimmy to tell her that she is no longer allowed to babysit the kids. Jimmy reluctantly goes to talk to Mitzi, who claims that the kissing incident is based on a misunderstanding. He relays Donna's news and tells her that she can only visit if he or Donna are around; Mitzi is offended at this idea, believing she is being treated like an "untrustworthy fool." Mitzi comes over for a family Scrabble night, which quickly devolves into Donna and Mitzi hurling thinly-veiled insults at each other. Finally they argue about Donna's "control freak" attitudes and Mitzi disrespect towards her, with Jimmy literally caught in the middle. Finally Mitzi consents to Donna's wishes so that she can continue to visit her grandchildren, but says that Donna and Jimmy should be ashamed of themselves. That Sunday is Mother's Day, and Jimmy, Wendy, and Bonnie awaken Donna by giving her breakfast in bed. Bonnie and Wendy give her presents: an A on her science project and a needlepoint oven mitt respectively; it turns out that Mitzi had a hand in each of them, encouraging and helping both of them. Donna feels bad about how she treated Mitzi and goes to visit her alone. They realize that they come from vastly different upbringings, explaining their behavior, but the one thing they share in common is a desire to raise children with love and respect. Donna apologizes for how she treated Mitzi, and Mitzi admits she was wrong to disrespect Donna. Donna agrees to relax her various rules somewhat, and the two of them start to bond on a personal level. Commercials deleted.
