WONDERFALLS: COCKTAIL BUNNY {UNAIRED EPISODE} (TV)
Summary
One in this quirky dramedy series, set in Niagara Falls, in which inanimate objects talk to disaffected twenty-something Jaye, setting off a Rube Goldberg-like series of events that culminate in her touching someone's life. In this unaired episode, Jaye tries to melt the wax lion when he won’t tell her why she was instructed to allow Eric to re-marry Heidi. Karen comes to see Jaye, saying that Aaron is worried about her. She also asks her to return Dr. Ron’s brass monkey. Jaye breaks down when a repairman consequently presents her with a handful of defective wax lions, all of whom speak to her. Jaye tries to explain her situation to Dr. Ron, after which a masked figure breaks into the office and looks up the date for Jaye’s next appointment. Jaye gets upset at The Barrel when she sees Eric come in with Heidi. Mahandra tries to comfort Jaye, then denies her relationship with Aaron. Heidi interrupts to taunt Jaye and tell her that she and Eric are moving back to New Jersey. As Heidi threatens Jaye, a drawing on a box of a cocktail bunny tells Jaye to “save him from her.” Back at the Tyler house, Aaron tries to communicate with Jaye’s animals. As Mahandra hides in Aaron’s closet, Jaye arrives to take back the stuffed creatures. Returning to Dr. Ron’s office, Jaye hears the monkey say that “she’s going to kill him.” Jaye later finds some suspicious incidents connected to Heidi’s past. When Jaye follows Heidi, she witnesses Heidi buying a stash of illegal pills. When Heidi searches Jaye’s trailer, she sees photos that Jaye shot of the exchange. A policeman arrives at the Wonderfalls shop to tell Jaye that she’s accused of breaking and entering at Dr. Ron’s office and stealing surveillance tapes. Jaye thinks Heidi is framing her and goes to her hotel room, where she finds out that the drugs Heidi bought were sexual potency drugs for Eric. Jaye tells Dr. Ronn that someone else must have stolen the tapes. Elsewhere in the building, Karen shares an elevator with Angie Olsen, a former patient who’s planning to kill Dr. Ron. In the psychiatrist’s office, the monkey warns Jaye to “lick the light switch,” causing a power outage. Now stuck in the elevator, Karen tries to reason with Angie, realizing that Jaye is the object of her jealousy. Sharon arrives in Dr. Ron’s office just before the police come to arrest Jaye. After the power is restored, Karen brings Angie to the office and forces her to admit to planning Dr. Ron’s murder and setting up Jaye as the culprit. Recognizing that Jaye may not be crazy, Dr. Ron gives her the monkey. Finally, Jaye apologizes to Eric, who says that he’s going to follow Heidi back to New Jersey as soon as she finds them an apartment.
