ALIAS: THE SHED (TV)
Summary
One in this dramatic action series about CIA double agent Sydney Bristow and her adventures with her colleagues and her enemies. In this episode, in Istanbul, a woman breaks into a laboratory and steals a highly dangerous vial of "Substance 33," killing the scientists as she departs. Sydney struggles through her grief over Vaughn as Marshall investigates the theft, speculating that the woman works for Gordon Dean. Jack tasks Marshall, Grace and Sydney with tracking down Dean in Prague, and when Sydney asks why she cannot instead work with her longtime colleague Dixon, Jack explains that Dixon is busy with Sloane, who has received a three-day conditional release, to find a cure for Nadia. Sloane informs Dixon that his former colleague, Alexander Dolzhenko, has reported that some Sovogda citizens survived after all, and Dixon sternly orders Sloane to obey him on the mission.
In Prague, Sydney tracks down the hacker who assisted the Substance 33 thief and captures her. The woman, Rachel Gibson, informs them that she is a CIA black-ops agent, and Sydney realizes that she too was recruited under false pretenses and is unknowingly working for a criminal organization under Dean, much like Sydney back in her SD-6 days. When they test Rachel's distress signal, it contacts Langley but then beams right back to Prague, meaning that Dean himself is close by at his headquarters, known as "The Shed." Knowing that Dean will destroy all of the relevant Prophet Five information if he is made aware of their presence, they decide to send Rachel back to her place of work to get the necessary encryption key.
Elsewhere, in Omsk, Dolzhenko pulls a gun on Sloane and reveals that there is no cure and that all of the Sovogda residents, including his own daughter, are indeed dead. He cannot bring himself to shoot a fellow grieving father, however, and instead vanishes with Sloane's bribe money. Sydney urges a distressed Rachel to behave as normally as possible when returning to The Shed, and once there, she encounters the woman who stole the Substance 33, revealed to be her friend Kelly Peyton. Rachel manages to steal the necessary key and slips it to Sydney right under Kelly's nose, but Kelly notices her friend's odd demeanor. As Marshall learns that the deadly Substance 33 is set to ship to Budapest that night, Kelly tells Dean that Rachel has likely discovered the truth about their department, and he orders her to enact "Plan B." Sydney, Grace and Marshall discover that Kelly and Dean have fried all of the Shed's electronics with an EMP just as the bomb detonates, destroying the office and killing most of Dean's employees. Sydney and Grace rush to the scene, where they find Rachel barely alive. Includes commercials and promos.
