CAVEMEN: CAVEWOMAN (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about a trio of cavemen living in modern-day San Diego.
A new frozen yogurt shop opens up, and Nick, Andy, and Joel become enamored of Heather, the cavewoman who works behind the counter. Nick believes that Heather is attracted to him, and argues with Andy about it. Joel takes Kate to the yogurt shop and Heather insults her with the epithet "smoothie." Kate is disgusted when Joel does not stand up for her and she storms out. Nick hits on Heather and asks her out, and she accepts. Nick brings Heather back to the apartment and she gets extremely aggressive with him, engaging in loud, rough sex. However, Heather is perpetually upset with Nick, making fun of his dissertation. Meanwhile, Leslie believes that Joel's behavior indicates that Kate's relationship with him is through. Thorne recommends that Kate act aggressive towards Heather to get her to back off. The three of them confront Heather, but Thorne does most of the talking while Kate is too intimidated to stand up for herself. Surprisingly, Heather takes a liking to them and explains that she views most men as "wusses" unable to properly express themselves.
Heather continues going out with Nick, physically and emotionally abusing him at every opportunity. She also becomes infuriated with Andy for not asking her friend out after inquiring about her. Andy and Joel find that Heather has pressured Nick into actually doing work on his dissertation, much to their amusement. However, Nick realizes that he is in over his head and wants to break up with Heather, although he is too scared to do so. Heather starts to threaten physical violence towards Andy if he doesn't call her friend. Joel tries to apologize to Kate for not standing up for her, but fails and finds that Kate has taken Heather's side, calling him a "wuss." Nick tries to break up with Heather at a movie theater but is too cowed by her; instead he simply leaves her there under the pretense of getting her popcorn. Heather retaliates by mailing Nick a dead opossum, and the episode ends as Nick, Andy, and Joel try to figure out a way to obtain frozen yogurt without interacting with Heather. Includes commercials.
