DIRTY SEXY MONEY: THE WATCH (TV)

Summary

On in this drama series about a troubled lawyer whose life is overtaken by his employers: a super-rich, morally-challenged family in New York City. In this episode, Brian is arrested for attempting to bribe the arbitrator in his custody case, which is swiftly decided in Andrea's favor. Ellen visits Patrick in the hospital, where he is recovering from being shot by her, and tells him that she will ruin his chances at election unless he ends things with Carmelita for good. Tish is angered when Tripp refuses to pull strings to spring Brian from jail, feeling that he has always liked Brian least, but Tripp insists that they must "react honorably" to the scandal. Tish thinks back to Dutch's last birthday, on which Dutch admitted that his relationship with Nick was irreparably damaged and Tish revealed that Nick was not, in fact, his only child. Nick manages to bail Brian out, and Jeremy asks Lisa to borrow her apartment, explaining that he is still pretending to be "poor" to win over Sofia. Karen visits a heavily-medicated Patrick and encounters Simon, who immediately asks her for a date.

Juliet returns and is surprised to learn of Brian's legal troubles, all of which he blames on Nick. In the past, Dutch reacts with anger to Tish's revelation, concluding that the Darling family is untrustworthy after all. Jeremy shows Sofia "his" rundown apartment, but his plan backfires when she is put off by his lack of ambition and considers ending things with him. Nick begs Andrea not to take Brian Jr. back to Brazil, but she declares that growing up away from the toxic Darlings is the best thing for her son. Tish admits to Nick that she was behind Brian's release but declines to explain how, but when he presses her for answers, she finally admits that Brian is Dutch's son. Nick tells Lisa about his "long-lost" brother and laments that he now feels even more tied to the Darlings, particularly because he needs their money for the children's hospital. Carmelita visits Patrick and tells him that he can "simplify" his life by breaking up with her if he needs to, but he refuses despite the political dangers. Jeremy admits that he told Sofia that he was a starving artist and begs Lisa to "hook him up" with some paintings that he can pass off as his own, and he eventually selects several nudes.

Karen goes out with Simon and they discuss their past marriages, with Simon explaining that he is still close with his ex-wife. Tish breaks the news to Brian, who angrily states that she has always pushed him away because of his secret parentage, and Nick confronts Tripp, demanding to know why he did not tell him sooner. Tripp points out that the two of them were similarly wronged, but Nick argues that he has given his entire life over to the Darlings and deserves the truth at the very least. After spending the night together, Karen reminds Simon that her father cannot know about their budding relationship. Sofia is impressed with Jeremy's "handiwork" but then asks him to paint her in the nude, and he is forced to ask for Lisa's help once again. On his last birthday, Dutch falls off the wagon and drunkenly approaches Nick with a desperate apology, but he refuses to hear him out, though he grudgingly accepts Dutch's gift of his own father's watch. In the present, Nick realizes that he had been trying to confess the truth about Brian, but Lisa assures him that he could not have known that Dutch would die shortly thereafter. Brian coldly informs Nick that nothing will change between them now, but seems touched when Nick gives him their father's watch. Brian then bids a sad farewell to his son and passes on the watch, telling him to keep it on New York time when he is in Brazil. Includes commercials and promos.
