Summary
The premiere episode in this series of private detective shows produced by the Canadian Broadcasting Company. In this episode, aspiring 19-year-old novelist Walker Devereaux moves from a small town in Northern Ontario to bustling Toronto in order to experience urban life. Supporting himself as a cab driver while he writes his novel, the young man becomes involved in a murder investigation when he finds a dead body in the trunk of his taxi. Walker, his boss, Mr. Piattelli, and a recent immigrant named Jacob all drove the cab that day and are questioned in connection with the crime. When Jacob disappears mysteriously, Walker turns sleuth, enlisting the aid of cab dispatcher Krista in order to solve the case.
