Highlights include: Lisa May gives the Los Angeles traffic report; the hosts play "Evenflow" by Pearl Jam; Kevin and Bean take phone calls from listeners who talk about such topics as the U.S. Open tennis tournament, and a woman who is forever thankful to the disc jockeys because she met her husband at one of their singles' parties; next there's a news update from "Doc on the Roq" and a sports report from Jimmy "The Sports Guy" Kimmel; Kevin and Bean play "The World I Know" by Collective Soul and "J.A.R." by Green Day from the "Angus" motion picture soundtrack; since they are in New York for the MTV Video Awards, Kevin and Bean run down the list of the scheduled performers and presenters for the show; the entertainment news covers actor Charlie Sheen's marriage, figure skater Tonya Harding's singing debut, the pop trio Wilson Phillips's return to the studio for a new album, and the upcoming fall television season; the hosts then play "Say It Ain't So" by Weezer; Bean talks about the plot of the film "The Amazing Panda Adventure" which he saw with his wife; CBS sports commentator Pat O'Brien joins Kevin and Bean in the studio to talk about the excitement of covering the U.S. Open; "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" by U2 is played; O'Brien talks about some of the bands he's played golf with, some gossip from his syndicated sports column, what celebrities come to the tennis tournament, and the possibility of getting Kevin and Bean tickets for the U.S. Open; the hosts play "Tomorrow" by Silverchair, "Lump" by The Presidents of the United States of America, and "In Bloom" by Nirvana; the hosts talk about Bean playing football in midtown Manhattan traffic and runng into an elderly woman attempting to catch a pass, and their disappointment and hock that Adam "Mr. Berchum" Corolla's show on Saturday mornings was cancelled; they then play "One Thing Leads To Another" by The Fixx, and discuss going to Central Park to play wiffleball and trying to recruit some extra players, to no avail.
