Continues from R:14801. The second half of one in this series of morning broadcasts which features "oldies" music and is hosted by Dick Purtan. Highlights of this program include the following segments: a phone conversation with "Saddam Hussein," who discusses the crisis in the Middle East and the international attributes of the television show "Baywatch"; a reading of the "Dumb Memo of the Day"; a series of information briefs, which include pieces on the crisis in the Middle East, Jack Kevorkian, and Chrysler sales reports; discussions about the history of Los Angeles, the experiences of newspaper delivery boys, the naming of the Kodak film company, the invention of disposable diapers, and the life of Princess Stephanie of Monaco; commentary from "Kato Kaelin," "President Bill Clinton," and "Hillary Clinton"; and a series of traffic and weather reports. In addition, the chief of police in Detroit tells comical stories about former President Ronald Reagan and plays a round of "cop/no cop," which entails calling a local doughnut shop to see if there is an officer on the premises. Also, the following musical selections are heard: "Don't Worry Baby" (The Beach Boys); "Roll Over Beethoven" (Chuck Berry); "We Can Work It Out" (The Beatles); "Friendship Train" (Gladys Knight and the Pips); "Just Like Me" (Paul Revere and the Raiders); "Count Me In" (Gary Lewis and the Playboys); "Blue Moon" (The Marcels); "Go Where You Want to Go" (The Mamas and the Papas); "Woman, Woman" (Gary Puckett and the Union Gap); "He's a Rebel" (The Crystals); "Different Drum" (Linda Ronstadt and the Stone Poneys); and "It's the Same Old Song" (The Four Tops).
