Summary
One in a weekly series which features original and classic drama productions as well as interviews with noted playwrights. This program features Arthur Miller discussing and reading from his play "Death of a Salesman." Miller opens by discussing the difference between "Death of a Salesman" and his earlier work "The Crucible." Next, Miller reads several selections from the play, including the following: the opening scene in which salesman Willy Loman returns home from an unsuccessful sales trip; a flashback scene in which Willy recalls his life when his sons were teenagers, back when he thought that "everything in the world was possible"; and a scene in which Willy tells Biff how a man properly behaves at a job interview.
