According to the commentators, the Brazilian players are relying too much on the strengths of individuals instead of teamwork, and France has been able to take advantage of this weakness, thanks to the intelligent strategy of French coach AimŽ Jacquet. The French manage to score again with Emmanuel Petit in one of the last official minutes of the game, minute forty-seven of the second half. The game ends with France ahead in a score of three to zero. The program goes on to transmit the awarding of the World Cup, with the participation of the President of France, Jacques Chirac; the co-organizer, French football star Michel Platini; and the French team captain, Didier Deschamps.
