NATIONAL LAMPOON RADIO HOUR, THE {SHOW #2} (RADIO)
Summary
One in this hyperkinetic comedy series comprised of dozens of fast-paced sketches and song parodies. This episode opens as a man calls a friend to shout, "Guess which commandment I'm breaking!" In the next bit, a vampire slayer must resort to the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber in order to vanquish his foe. Next, in a lengthy bit that parodies talk shows based around panel discussions, several cast members debate the issue of butter in taxicabs. In a segment that mocks game shows, a woman contestant is placed in a large airplane and given clues as to how to fly it for each trivia question she answers correctly. When she answers incorrectly, the consequences prove dire. In the next bit, a hungry diner goes to a fancy restaurant where the customers are not allowed to choose anything related to their meal or dining experience. A surly waiter proceeds to force all manner of unpleasant foods on an irked customer. In the "laughs from the past" segment of the program, a number of vaudeville-style jokes by Abbott and Costello are aired. Commercials deleted.
