
END OF THE ROAD SHOW, THE {#37} (RADIO)
Summary
One in this series of variety shows hosted by and
starring Tom Bodett. Bodett opens this program with
"The End of the Road Review," featuring a discussion
about recent events in Homer, Alaska, and about the
recent Exxon Valdez oil spill. Additionally, pianist
Johnny B. Bushell plays his own composition, "Sunny,"
and Bodett tells the story of an old resident of Homer
who has decided to leave Alaska because of the spill.
Bodett talks with different "callers" about their
regrets in the "Road Talk" segment, featuring different
voice characterizations by Fred Newman. The female
vocal trio Flashpoint sings their original composition,
"Can't Explain," and Johnny B. concludes the program
with a song that is "dedicated to the waters of the
world."
