Summary

The premiere of the series of musical/comedy/variety programs broadcast from "The Orchid Room" of the "Hollywood Hotel." Dick Powell hosts the show and sings "Fair and Warmer," "I Only Have Eyes For You," "Blue Sky Avenue." Ted Fiorito and his Orchestra play "King For a Day," and "I Saw Stars." Louella Parsons tells us some Hollywood gossip, and Claudette Colbert and Warren William do a scene from "Imitation of Life." This was the first major network show to come out of the West.
