One in this series of music/variety programs hosted by Rudy Vallee. Vallee opens the program with a song "Porgy and Bess." Cast members Todd Duncan and Anne Brown sing selections from Gershwin's opera: Duncan sings "I Got Plenty O' Nuthin'" and Brown and Duncan sing a love duet. Other program highlights include Vallee singing "Red Sails in the Sunset" and child actor Frankie Thomas and Francesca Bruning in a scene from the Broadway play, "Remember the Day." The program continues with comedy writer Dave Freedman and mimic Eddie Garr, who discuss why people laugh. Garr mimics Ed Wynn, Jimmy Durante, et al. Other highlights include excerpts from the Broadway Musical "Jumbo," performed by Vallee and Gloria Grafton, with its composer, Richard Rodgers, at the piano.
