Summary

Highlights of this program include the following segments: Gracie tells her pet duck, Herman, the story of Santa Claus, interweaving some of the history of the United States into her tale; Gracie helps Bill Goodwin create a Christmas carol about Swan soap; Jimmy Cash performs "From One Love to Another"; George, Gracie, and Bill go Christmas shopping in a crowded mall; Gracie attempts to purchase a gift for George, but every time she asks to have something wrapped by the salesman something else catches her eye and reduces her budget for George's gift; and Paul Whiteman and the orchestra perform an upbeat version of "The Minuet in G."
