Summary
One in this series of comedy programs starring the husband-and-wife comedy team of George Burns and Gracie Allen. In this episode, Gracie attempts to figure out what to purchase for George's Christmas present. Highlights of this program include the following segments: Gracie tells her pet duck, Herman, the story of Santa Claus, interweaving some of the history of the United States into her tale; Gracie helps Bill Goodwin create a Christmas carol about Swan soap; Jimmy Cash performs "From One Love to Another"; George, Gracie, and Bill go Christmas shopping in a crowded mall; Gracie attempts to purchase a gift for George, but every time she asks to have something wrapped by the salesman something else catches her eye and reduces her budget for George's gift; and Paul Whiteman and the orchestra perform an upbeat version of "The Minuet in G."
