Summary

One in this long-running western drama series about widower Ben Cartwright, his sons, and their adventures on their ranch in Nevada's Ponderosa. In this episode, a deadly gang of bank robbers storm into windy Virginia City and spawn the desire for vengeance. The bandits kill young Jonah -- grandson of Joshua Morgan, the Cartwrights' friend -- and Joshua vows revenge. Although he is confined to a wheelchair, the determined man zealously attempts to track down the murderer. With the help of Jamie -- the Cartwrights' young ward -- and Little Joe, Joshua pursues the fugitives across state lines and tracks a pair of the robbers to a saloon. One of the bandits finally reveals the identity and the whereabouts of Jonah's murderer: a fierce, cold-blooded man named Zack. Joshua, Joe, and Jamie hope to enlist the aid of the law, but they are disappointed when they encounter a drunken and ineffectual sheriff, who quickly informs Zack that he is being stalked. The subsequent confrontation at the local saloon seems dire for the trio, but the murderer discovers that rage and the pursuit of justice are potent adversaries. Includes commercials.
